When performing any work to the interior of your home, follow the rules!

1. If you have hired a contractor, they are required to take the job related trash and debris off site with them at the end of each work day. Any home found to have job/renovation related trash and or debris outside their home will be fined accordingly.

2. If you are performing the work yourself, follow the NYC DOS Rules and separate the trash and debris accordingly. Anyone in violation of the rules will be fined accordingly.

3. Any alteration that involves disrupting a header/main beam is strictly forbidden.

4. DO NOT leave paint cans out for Sanitation to pick up UNLESS they are empty. Paint cans left out with paint inside will place Sanitation in the position of issuing a violation to the community and or the homeowner, if identifiable.

5. DO NOT leave glass out in the open. Safely break up the glass and place in a can with a cover. Clearly mark the can "Broken Glass inside" .

6. DO NOT place your trash and or debris in front of any mail box cluster or fire hydrant. Any identified owner found to be in violation will be fined accordingly.

***Review the Policy & Procedures Handbook for detailed information

GARBAGE SHOULD NEVER BE PLACED IN FRONT OF THE MAILBOX CLUSTERS, NOR SHOULD CARS BLOCK THE MAIL BOXES (OWNERS OF TRASH THAT ARE IDENTIFIED WILL BE FINED ACCORDINGLY).

The Sanitation Department will not pick up garbage when trash and recycling are mixed. The Sanitation Department has issued warnings and fines to individual home owners violating regulations and the HOA will do the same. Please see changes to the NYC Recycling Program by visiting the recycle web site at www.nyc.gov for recycling decals, fliers and information. You can also call 311.
